Dear Auntie Ai Hwa, Thank you for your hospitality and kindness when our family would visit Singapore. Thank you for taking us out to eat, providing a home to stay, and making us feel welcome. Your faith in God in the midst of trials has been an inspiration. We will miss you and may you rest in peace.
Dear Auntie Ai Hwa,
Thank you for always being so welcoming and loving whenever I would visit. Your strength and faith will always be an inspiration to me.

Remembering Ai Hwa
Ai Hwa offered her place every Saturday for Chng Family to hv dinner together, a place to mingle, watch TV, play board game & football, when the boys were still young n active. Sound simple, but a lot of tolerance, as we were not always in the best behaviour. Yet she was always pleasant, facilitating & giving good advice. She was always open to share her encounter in school, while she was still teaching. She enjoyed teaching, she hold a student hand & guide him to see his own worth, not academic score worth. She empathise with special needs children & treat them as a individual, someone with something special in them.
She gave out her career for Calvin, to better mentor him & guide him while he was in primary 5. She watch over Calvin, steered him away from computer game addition. She encourages him to played piano, see how good he is now. She lived simply, n yet had good taste. Like the way she dressed n decorated Casa Rosa. When my domestic helper gone for home leave, She invited my family to hv dinner at her place, not one time, but every night. She was a good daughter-in-law, stay with mom n bring mom for her regular doctor visit, until she was down with cancer. When I last saw her at Mt E, she said she was glad that Calvin could see so many countries during his exchange program to Europe. She also said she was worry that Calvin cannot find a girlfriend, as he doesn’t know how to talk to ladies. I told her we could only pray. She said she had been praying. See how the Lord answered her prayer.
During our last meetup, she said she was blessed, I didn’t know what to say then. How she can said that while suffering cancer & pain. After seeing the family that rally around her, taking care of her to the last moment. I guess I know why she said she was blessed. We could also see Lord mercy n blessing though her inner joy. RIP, Ai Hwa.
Dear Auntie AiHwa,
You’ve been such an inspiration and a blessing to so many people throughout your life. I’ll never forget the sweet memories growing up spending time with you, Uncle, and Calvin. Your hospitality and kind heart will be greatly missed. Now you are in your Heavenly Father’s arms, and can say along with the Apostle Paul:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day..” 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Love,
Jason and Family
Dear Ai Hwa
I remember when we first met - in Singapore Broadcasting Corporation - and how easy it was to be your friend because you were honest in our conversations.
I remember the fellowship meetings we had with Christina and other friends.
I remember when we went to Penang, and our heart-to-heart conversations.
You have always provided a listening ear, and you have always been encouraging and positive, directing me to seek God's will and not be afraid to move ahead in faith.
'I'm scared,' I said, and you told me,
'Commit you way to the Lord, He will lead you.'
Dear friend, I will miss you, but I know God's way is best.
Dearest Aihwa,
You do not have an elder sister and
I do not have a younger sister
God was so good
To bring you into my life
And together we bond as sisters in Christ
Sharing our thoughts freely with each other
Enjoying our 'makan' sessions at Curry Times,
Eating kaya toast and half boiled eggs
When your strength was getting weak
And you knew your end was near
You continue to talk about the Goodness and Faithfulness of GOD
(Thank you for introducing me the song Goodness of God)
GOD saw you looking tired
So HE put HIS loving arms around you and whispered
'Come to ME'
This parting is only temporary, Aihwa
We will meet again one day
In God's kingdom
Dearest Ai Hwa,
Have been greatly missing you for many of the Saturday evening and family occasion gatherings this while. I really want to thank you for your hospitality and great family time you provide us at Casa Rosa.
Your warm and kind gesture will always be in our memory.
We will miss you and may you rest in peace.
Dearest Sis Ai Hwa,
Thank you for serving in the ministries of NLC and LEC. You are always there to show your love and concern for the church members and community. In your quiet and humble manner, you have also supported bro Shih Hian in the church ministries in many ways. This has deeply encouraged me.
Thank you for your love and concern for Jireh, Jonathan and Jay all these years. Sally and I are grateful for the many prayers and kind thoughts for them.
Sis, you are a blessing in my family and the Church! I shall always remember you with a sweet and gentle smile who is ever ready to bless others.
We are missing you till we meet again!
PS: Romans 8:37-39
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor dept, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen!
Went to bed thinking about Ai Hwa. Got up this morning and the first thoughts were Ai Hwa. 😢 Lord, thank you for Ai Hwa, for her life, her friendship, and more. Warm memories flooded my mind of how we first met on the 5th floor of Radio Building where our offices were, her friendliness and kindness reached out to me as I was a new staff in another department. And yes, her welcoming smile. Lord, at this time, we don't understand a lot of things, but we continue to hold on to your unfailing love and faithfulness. 😢✝
Dear Sister Ai Hwa,
Your kindness, care and contribution to New Life Church, Life Edu Centre and Sunday School have touched many lives.
I have learnt from you to trust God and always have faith in him who will lead us in our lives.
I will miss you and may you rest in peace for God has brought you to him.
Dear Ai Hwa,
I am grateful for knowing you and had the chance to teach the kids of the KidREAD program under your guidance. I learnt a lot and witnessed how you had blessed others with your kindness, faith and words of God. I’ll always cherish those moments spent with you! Miss you dearly.
Thank you dear sister Ai Hwa. Your life was a rich blessing. You have blessed so many Sunday School children. You have blessed me so much. You have the gift of compassion. You have added so much to every life you touched. Your faithfulness and trust in God in the midst of trial is an inspiartion to us all. I will miss you deeply. Rest in peace until we meet again in heaven.
Small Ghim Ghim,
You are finally free of all pain and suffering. Thank you for everything, we will miss you.
Teacher Ai Hwa,
Thanks for your encouragement and giving me a few magazines to read about Jesus. You have inspired me to know more about the Jesus. I will miss you. I am glad you are with the Heavenly Father.
Dear Teacher Ai Hwa, Thank you for your loving guidance and wise counsel over the years. I will not forget the little things you did for me - giving me vitamins, supplements and tea leaves - especially when I was not well. Your relentless care and support for your family has also inspired, influenced and even convicted me at times to be a better person. Your diligence in serving God faithfully over the years has left us all with an example to follow. I'm glad you are at peace now. I will miss you.
Thanks you Ai Hwa. You have fought the good fight and have walked faithfully with the Lord till the end. I have witnessed your faith and your fearless hope and trust in the Lord. May the memory of you continue to inspire and encourage all you have touched in your life to continue steadfastly with the Lord. You are greatly missed.
Dear sister, thank you for the time serving together in Sunday school, the encouragement words you gave. I will miss your smile. 我会想念你
